Experience

We have advised:

  • the NZ Transport Agency, as a participant in the ‘True North Alliance’, on the PPP procurement phase of the Pūhoi to Warkworth section of the Ara Tūhono - Pūhoi to Wellsford Motorway north of Auckland
  • the Ministry of Health on the circa $1b redevelopment of the Burwood and Christchurch Hospitals (involving demolition, refurbishment and new build), collectively New Zealand's largest ever health facility construction programme
  • Ōtākaro Limited on its establishment and assumption of responsibility for anchor projects relating to the Christchurch earthquake rebuild from the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA)
  • Te Puni Kōkiri on its procurement of, and its ongoing outcomes based contracts with, three NGO commissioning agents for Whānau Ora, responsible for commissioning programmes aimed at achieving better outcomes for Māori and Pacific families
  • the Ministry of Education on its schools construction programme run by its Education Infrastructure Service and its National Transportables Programme for the procurement of transportable modular classrooms – a major project in which private sector providers are undertaking the design, construction, delivery, management and maintenance of the Ministry’s entire portfolio of relocatable classrooms
  • ACC, as key project sponsor in the Wellington Gateway Consortium, on all aspects of its equity and debt investments into the Transmission Gully Motorway PPP. We also advised ACC on its role as a major provider of equity into the Wiri Men’s Prison PPP
  • the NZ Transport Agency on its assessment of Auckland Transport’s bus services Request for Tender, and on its role in the procurement and nationwide rollout of integrated ticketing systems for regional public transport networks
  • Crown Irrigation Investments on structuring, funding and all other legal aspects of its investments into major regional irrigation projects, in a manner consistent with government policy
  • NZ Customs and Ministry of Primary Industries on their contract arrangements with IBM for delivery of its ‘Joint Border Management System’
  • Ministry of Health on its procurement of pilot ‘social bonds’ transactions
  • Counties Manukau DHB on its ten year Strategic Relationship Agreement with IBM, under which IBM will provide services and products to assist in the transformation of Counties Manukau DHB’s healthcare services and Waitemata DHB on its three year innovation partnership agreement with global software company Orion Health, and
  • Plant & Food Research on a construction project involving the full refurbishment and upgrade of two multi-storey research buildings at its Mount Albert Campus in Auckland.
