Chapman Tripp Principal Geoff Bevan says the 90 day probation scheme does not give employers the ability to fire at will, after the Employment Court found a pharmacy worker Heather Smith had been unjustifiably dismissed three weeks after signing a contract for employment. This interview first aired on Radio NZ National's Morning Report programme on 31 August 2010.
