Chapman Tripp announces three new partners

Chapman Tripp is pleased to announce three new Corporate and Litigation partners in the firm’s Auckland and Wellington offices.

Kelly McFadzien’s and Justin Graham’s appointments were effective on 1 December and Josh Blackmore became a partner on 18 December. 

Managing Partner Andrew Poole said, “We are delighted to announce that Kelly, Justin and Josh have been invited to join the partnership; we congratulate them on this achievement. These appointments reflect increasing client demand within our Corporate and Litigation practices. ”

Chapman Tripp is the largest legal partnership in New Zealand, with 54 partners.

Auckland

Kelly McFadzien

Kelly specialises in corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on commercial contracts, transactions and projects involving technology, infrastructure and outsourcing, intellectual property and services. Kelly’s clients often turn to her for advice on data protection, privacy and consumer law topics.  She has advised on these, increasingly regulated, matters across a number of jurisdictions and regularly provides updates and commentary on New Zealand legislative changes in this area. Kelly has previously practised in Hong Kong.

Justin Graham

Justin is a Cambridge-educated commercial litigator specialising in technology, media and telecommunications, intellectual property, privacy, corporate and commercial dispute resolution and Iwi governance issues. He is experienced at managing and resolving complex commercial litigation and disputes in his areas of expertise.

Wellington

Josh Blackmore

Josh specialises in corporate and commercial transactions, securities law and regulatory matters. He advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including corporate transactions, capital raisings, listed company advice, corporate governance and general company law.  He has also advised on commercial and regulatory issues across the telecommunications, electricity and agribusiness sectors. Josh has previously worked in Moscow at leading Wall Street firm Cleary Gottileb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
