Chapman Tripp named as finalist at 2011 ALB Australasian Law Awards

Chapman Tripp has been named a finalist in four award categories at the 2011 ALB Australasian Law Awards.​

Chapman Tripp’s corporate team is up for the New Zealand Deal Team of the Year Award and Partner Barry Brown has been named as a finalist for the New Zealand Dealmaker of the Year Award. Chapman Tripp is nominated for four transactions in both the Debt Markets Deal of the Year and the New Zealand Deal of the Year Awards.

The transactions were:

Debt Market Deal of the Year

  • Bank of New Zealand covered bond programme

New Zealand Deal of the Year

  • Bank of New Zealand covered bond programme
  • Heartland merger
  • Infratil/Guardians of New Zealand Super acquisition of Shell New Zealand downstream business
  • New Zealand electricity restructure

Now in their eighth year, the ALB Australasian Law Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements and successes of the legal profession over the previous twelve months. The well-established event gathers over 650 senior in-house counsel, private practitioners and industry professionals from all around Australia and New Zealand. Across a comprehensive range of categories, the Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements and successes of the legal profession over the previous twelve months.

Winners will be announced at the awards presentation evening in Sydney on Thursday 19 May.
