Chapman Tripp named as finalist at 2012 ALB Australasian Law Awards

​Chapman Tripp has been named a finalist in four award categories at the 2012 ALB Australasian Law Awards.

Chapman Tripp’s corporate team is up for the New Zealand Deal Team of the Year Award and Partner Frank McLaughlin has been named as a finalist for the New Zealand Dealmaker of the Year Award. Chapman Tripp Partner Barry Brown won the Dealmaker of the Year Award in 2011.
Chapman Tripp is nominated for four transactions in both the M&A Deal of the Year and the New Zealand Deal of the Year Award categories.
The transactions were:
M&A Deal of the Year (Australasia-wide)
  • AXA/AMP Limited Merger
New Zealand Deal of the Year
  • Canterbury Earthquakes Residential Red Zones
  • New Zealand Government’s roll-out of Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB)
  • Telecom demerger
Now in their ninth year, the ALB Australasian Law Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements and successes of the legal profession over the previous twelve months. The well-established event gathers senior in-house counsel, private practitioners and industry professionals from all around Australia and New Zealand.
Winners will be announced at the awards presentation evening in Sydney on 24 May.
