A CLIENT CENTRED APPROACH TO SERVICES
It is not simply the quality of our people and their specialist skills that set Chapman Tripp apart from other law firms. Our lawyers are distinguished also by their focus on solutions and teamwork, and by support systems and exclusive services that add value to everything we do for clients.
Personal contact and client management at a senior level A partner, principal or consultant is directly responsible for the firm’s relationship with each client. They ensure that all work is done efficiently and to the highest quality by the most relevant and skilled advisers.
Our client relationship managers are also your first point of contact concerning any of the services described in this directory, as well as work in progress reports, fee estimates and bills.
Client education We invest in ways to make our clients more capable. As well as keeping clients up to date with significant developments in the law through our complimentary regular newsletter, Counsel, and through our annual season of Hothouse seminars, we present a series of high level legal briefings, the Chapman Tripp Master Classes, to senior counsel from our key clients to further their knowledge on specific legal issues.
Information and research services Chapman Tripp has one of the most comprehensive private sector research and information centres in Australasia. Our fully trained researchers maintain a substantial electronic and hard copy collection of resources concerning the law and clients’ industries. Where relevant, and where licences permit, we make some of these resources available directly to our clients.
A national approach to sharing resources Our national network of resources is dedicated to providing the most relevant and efficient service to clients. Our policy is to make available the most appropriately skilled and effective people in the circumstances, regardless of the centre in which they are based.
Business and government links in New Zealand and overseas As active members of New Zealand’s business community, we deal extensively with leading financial intermediaries, brokers, consulting firms and local and national government representatives. We also maintain strong links with such advisers overseas, particularly in Australia, the US and Britain. We are happy to make introductions for our clients. We also liaise regularly between central Government and business through our public law team.
A dedicated project services team Our professional project services team includes legally qualified staff and provides document and project management services to many areas of the firm. The team’s expertise lies in the physical and electronic management of paper and processes, including preparation for mediation, arbitration and court fixtures. The project services team also works closely with our commercial lawyers to manage substantial due diligence exercises, including those hosted via our on-line data room, Dataspace™. This unique resource reduces client costs by performing administrative tasks that might otherwise be allocated to lawyers.
Innovative and effective on-line services We have led the field in developing and implementing on-line services that save our clients in terms of time and money. Our on-line services are proven and practical, and improve communications and project management. Find out more about the services Fidelis and Dataspace™.
