Chris Dann specialises in corporate & commercial law.
Chris advises on a broad range of contractual and transactional matters in a number of industries for both governmental and private sector entities, including a number of shareholding and governance issues. His wide-ranging experience includes significant mergers & acquisitions, banking & finance, energy sector, telecommunications, information technology and supply and distribution work.
Prior to rejoining Chapman Tripp, Chris worked in the UK as Corporate Legal Manager at Exel PLC, then the world's largest logistics company.
Recent experience
Chris has advised:
- Vector on the establishment of a joint venture between Vector and Siemens (NZ) to deliver advanced metering technology and operational services
- Vector on procurement and services agreement aspects of its arrangement with Genesis for the roll out of advanced metering services
- the Ministry of Economic Development on its long-term project to meet New Zealand’s obligations as a member of the International Energy Agency by tendering and contracting for companies to hold petroleum reserves for the Government in various jurisdictions
- Telecom in developing aspects of its governance framework in light of its operational separation, and
- PGG Wrightson on its project to replace its financial/business IT system.
