Colin specialises in competition and regulatory matters.
Colin advises a wide range of New Zealand and international companies on their obligations under the Commerce Act 1986 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. He has particular experience on merger clearances, investigations of anti-competitive conduct, and network industry regulatory issues.
Colin also assists clients in contentious commercial matters and litigation.
Colin holds an LLM from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, USA, where he took courses on competition and regulation law policy. Colin is a former judges’ clerk in the Court of Appeal and a winner of the Cleary Memorial Prize.

many New Zealand and international companies on obligations under the Fair Trading Act 1993, and
telecommunications and electricity industry businesses on Part 4 issues.
