Jane is a principal in our corporate & commercial team.
She specialises in commercial law with a particular focus on commercial contracts, technology, outsourcing, public sector procurement and energy. Before joining Chapman Tripp, Jane worked for Shell New Zealand in legal and commercial roles, and as a legal advisor in the UK for Barclays Bank, Interactive Investors International PLC (an online financial services website and IT services company) and Alfred Dunhill luxury goods.
Recent experience
Jane has advised:
- Lockheed Martin on Project Alexander, a $144m, syndicated agreement to provide NZDF with warehousing, maintenance logistics and other services
- Deloitte, as part of a consortium consisting of SAP, Hewlett Packard and Soltius, on its role as implementation partner for the Auckland Supercity ERP system and prime contractor
- Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce and Employers and Manufacturers Association (Central) on their merger and creation of the Employers Chamber of Commerce Central
- NGC Metering in the establishment of a joint venture with Siemens for smart metering services in New Zealand
- AMP on a broad range of IT contracts, including software development, licensing, support and maintenance arrangements
- Vector on its gas transmission arrangements, including developing an industry code for accessing the Maui Pipeline, a further code for Vector’s gas transmission customers agreements, associated technology arrangements, and
- the Ministry of Education on the outsourcing of the schools payroll system, New Zealand’s largest and most complex payroll.
