Jon specialises in corporate & commercial law.
Jon advises clients on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, group reorganisations, equity investments and commercial contracts.
Jon trained, qualified and practised in the UK with Leeds-based firm Walker Morris before moving to New Zealand in 2005. Jon was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand in October 2006.

- the receivers of South Canterbury Finance (SCF) in respect of the divestment of various investments held by SCF
- Newpark Resources Inc on its acquisition of Rheochem Pacific
- Chartis Insurance on the provision of warranty insurance in respect of various M&A transactions
- Direct Capital and Waterman Holdings on their divestment of the Express Logistics business
- Maui Capital on its investment in Insulpro Manufacturing
- ACC on its investment in Cavalier Wool Holdings
- the shareholders of AXON Computer Systems Limited on the sale of the company to Integral Technology
- Skellerup Holdings on a rights issue and on the divestment of four non-core business divisions
- Excell Corporation on the sale of its infrastructure maintenance services business
- Direct Capital on various investments, including, Go-Bus, Camm 4 and Rodd & Gunn
- shareholders of NDA Engineering on the sale of the company to RMB, continuing to advise the company on further acquisitions, and
