Kate specialises in commercial and corporate law with an emphasis on ICT, outsourcing, software licences, e-business and other commercial arrangements.
Kate has advised a variety of customer and supplier clients in a range of sectors including retail, technology, media and telecoms, energy and utilities, but has a particular focus on the financial services sector.
Kate joined Chapman Tripp in March 2013 after spending the previous two and a half years working at an international law firm in London, CMS Cameron McKenna.
Kate has advised:
- a global insurance company of its £500 million+ restructuring and development of its existing business process outsourcing arrangements, extending the scope and terms of the arrangements to cover new services and business across Europe and the Middle East
- a leading UK retail bank on the outsourcing of its cheque processing business
- several global insurance companies on the structuring of their internal outsourcing arrangements throughout Europe and also the procurement of business critical IT systems
- an international postal operator on a range of commercial matters including its long-term multi-service asset management and facilities management contract and its contractual arrangements with other postal operators, air freight forwarders and contract customers.
