Mark specialises in corporate and commercial law, particularly in advising major investment funds and major national, regional and international commercial clients.
Originally from the UK, Mark previously worked in London with Dundas & Wilson and Andersen Legal, acting for major clients such as The Royal Bank of Scotland PLC and British Airways PLC. Mark is a member of our Māori Services Group, Te Waka Ture, and since arriving in New Zealand has studied te reo Māori. Mark also acts for several of our pro bono clients, especially in the education sector.
Recent experience
Mark has:
- advising Ngāpuhi on structuring its commercial and fisheries activities
- advised several large energy generation projects
- establishing a number of private equity funds using corporate and/or limited partnership structures
- advising major contracts for the supply of goods throughout New Zealand
- outsourcing of New Zealand-wide distribution functions, and
- advising on mergers & acquisitions in the technology and manufacturing sectors on both sides of the Tasman.
