​Bridgette specialises in commercial law and projects.

Bridgette works closely with public and private sector clients in the energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, government, technology and banking sectors.

She advises on a variety of business as usual and complex contractual arrangements, and commercial law issues, including in the areas of data protection, privacy and consumer protection law. She has particular expertise in public sector procurement and the application of the Government Rules of Sourcing.

Bridgette’s background is in commercial and public law litigation, and regulatory advocacy. She started her career as lawyer in the New Zealand Crown Law Office.

Recent experience

Bridgette has advised:

  • Maritime New Zealand on its procurement and contracting of GEOSAR satellite ground stations
  • Ōtākaro (on secondment) across multiple business areas and anchor projects for the Christchurch rebuild, including on construction, insurance, ICT and a variety of service contracts
  • Powerco on preparing various network and services arrangements and reviewing ICT contracts and software licences
  • Te Puni Kōkiri on its ongoing contracts with three NGO commissioning agents for Whānau Ora, responsible for identifying and managing the investment of public funds into programmes aimed at achieving better outcomes for Māori and Pacific families
  • a number of technology start-ups on their funding, licensing, intellectual property, data sharing and privacy issues, and
  • various public sector clients on procurement documentation and contracts, and the application of the Government Rules of Sourcing.
