Chapman Tripp was named New Zealand's Most Innovative National Law Firm for 2018 at the IFLR Asia Awards on 1 March, held in Hong Kong. Read more here.
Nick Wells, Chapman Tripp's chief executive partner, said the award recognises the firm's work on significant international deals that include advising on Beach Energy's acquisition of the Origin Energy subsidiary, Lattice Energy, for AU$1.585b, and on the issue of NZ$125m Kauri green bonds for World Bank Group member, International Finance Corporation.
The award also recognises Zeren, the firm's technology and innovation business.
“Zeren is a practical example of our commitment to helping clients reduce cost and save time. It enables legal teams and business users to access legal advice through the cloud," said Mr Wells.
Chapman Tripp also won IFLR Asia's NZ Firm of the Year award in 2015 and 2016.
