Each year NZ Opera produce three mainstage productions in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington.

NZ Opera operates in a unique way, engaging local orchestras, technicians, artists and chorus for all performances. This ensures the company is truly part of the communities in which it performs. Operating in this way reinforces NZ Opera's commitment to developing the art form and providing enough work for New Zealand artists and creatives to have a sustainable career in New Zealand.
