Congratulations to the winners of the Chapman Tripp Fund Manager of the Year – Equities and Bonds, and the Chapman Tripp Mergers & Acquisitions House of the Year Awards at the 2012 New Zealand Herald INFINZ Industry Awards, held on 9 May.
AMP Capital Investors were successful in the Fund Manager of the Year - Bonds award for the second year in a row. The Judges noted that AMP Capital “has a strong bonds and cash team, led by one of the industry’s most seasoned operators, Grant Hassall. Importantly, they have demonstrated the ability to use a range of strategies in response to changing markets to add value to their NZ portfolios”.
Milford Asset Management won the Fund Manager of the Year - Equities award. The Judges commented that “Milford continues to impress. Their performance numbers are strong over the last three years on both an absolute and risk-adjusted basis”.
First NZ Capital was the winner of the Mergers & Acquisitions House of the Year award by a wide margin, as judged by leading corporates, private equity firms and legal professionals. Feedback from one client was that a first class service was provided in the transaction concerned - the right contacts were utilised to get the deal going, thorough preparation was made, the team exhibited persistence and patience and of course, closed the deal.
