Beyond pro bono: the importance of CSR
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was fully embraced by Chapman Tripp in 2015, when we announced five new national community partnerships including with Aera Foundation, Creative HQ, First Foundation, New Zealand Opera and The Sir Peter Blake Trust.
Chapman Tripp partner Edward Scorgie spoke to NZLawyerTV about the importance of a CSR strategy.
“It’s always been important to the firm to be a responsible member of the business community and to have links to put something back into the [wider] community.
“We were the first of the large law firms to set up the pro bono programme – which was well over 10 years ago now – and over a year ago we starting thinking about what else we could do in that area, what we could do to offer a more comprehensive and more thought-out and more conscious corporate social responsibility programme.
