Chapman Tripp was named as the winner of the New Zealand Law Firm of the Year Award at the Chambers Asia Pacific Awards in Hong Kong on Thursday, 21 April.
Chapman Tripp Managing Partner Andrew Poole is pleased with the award, saying "Chapman Tripp had a very successful year in 2010, helping our clients to breathe life back into the market. This win reflects the work the firm has been involved in: 70% of NZSX listings in the past year; significant M&A work such as the $2.2 billion Heartland merger; and all of the covered bond programmes being offered by our major trading banks."
The awards honour the work of national and international law firms across the Asia Pacific region, on the basis of research for the current edition of Chambers Asia Pacific.
The awards recognise a law firm's pre-eminence in key countries in the region. They also reflect notable achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.
