Chapman Tripp has secured a foundation tenancy in the new 39 level PwC Tower at Commercial Bay, a state of the art development to be built in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, Chief Executive Partner Andrew Poole announced today.
The firm’s Auckland office will relocate there in 2019 when the office tower is completed.
“Market demands and technology are rapidly changing the way lawyers work and interact with clients. This move is an opportunity to respond to those changes by creating a technologically smart and efficient working environment in the heart of Auckland’s commercial centre.
“We believe it will be a very exciting place to work and a new long term home for the firm”, said Andrew Poole.
“The larger and more efficient floorplate of the tower will give us greater flexibility, enhancing collaboration and flexible working options for both our people and clients.
“This follows similar workplace design changes we have incorporated in our Wellington office and the modern work space we will have in our new Christchurch building when we take up occupation there in the second half of 2016.
“The firm’s current premises in the ANZ Tower have served us well for 23 years but would have needed a major refurbishment, requiring alternative temporary accommodation to fit the firm’s developing requirements.
“This move is a cleaner, quicker and more enduring solution which will mean less disruption to clients and staff,” said Andrew Poole.
