Kate specialises in commercial and corporate law with an emphasis on ICT, outsourcing, software licences, e-business and other commercial arrangements.
Kate has advised a variety of customer and supplier clients in a range of sectors including retail, technology, media and telecoms, energy and utilities, but has a particular focus on the financial services sector.
Kate joined Chapman Tripp in March 2013 after spending the previous two and a half years working at an international law firm in London, CMS Cameron McKenna.
Kate has advised:
a global insurance company on its £500m+ restructuring and development of its existing business process outsourcing arrangements, extending the scope and terms of the arrangements to cover new services and business across Europe and the Middle East
a leading UK retail bank on the outsourcing of its cheque processing business
several global insurance companies on the structuring of their internal outsourcing arrangements throughout Europe and also the procurement of business critical IT systems, and
an international postal operator on a range of commercial matters including its long-term multi-service asset management and facilities management contract and its contractual arrangements with other postal operators, air freight forwarders and contract customers.
