​Shalindri specialises in various aspects of corporate finance law and advises clients in relation to debt security issuance programmes, bank financing and other issues.

Shalindri also advises clients on commercial law, with a particular focus on securities and regulatory matters.

Recent experience

Shalindri has:  

  • acted for the covered bond guarantor in relation to the establishment of Bank of New Zealand’s $7b covered bond programme and the subsequent issues under that programme
  • acted for the covered bond guarantor in relation to the establishment of ANZ’s €5b covered bond programme and the subsequent issues under that programme
  • acted for the covered bond guarantor in relation to the establishment of ASB Bank’s €7b covered bond programme and the subsequent issues under that programme
  • acted for the covered bond guarantor in relation to the establishment of Kiwibank's $3b covered bond programme and the subsequent issues under that programme
  • acted for the trustees in relation to the establishment of the Fleet Partners vehicle-backed lease securitisation programme
  • assisted in relation to the transfer of debt securities from Canterbury Building Society, Southern Cross Building Society and Marac Finance Limited (as part of the $2.2b merger of these entities) to Heartland, and
  • assisted in relation to the transfer of PGG Wrightson Finance debt securities to Heartland.
